According to a recent infographic by Infographiclabs, Facebook receives more than 2.7 billion “likes” each day and accounts for 1 of every 5 pageviews on the net. And while Facebook should play an important role in any marketing campaign, it should serve as an extension to the action taking place on your website.
A dynamic website which incorporates a blog forms the foundation of all social media marketing. Your website is where the content is published and ultimately, where the conversions happen.
Fellow content marketing specialist Patricia Redsicker created the infographic below pointing out the benefits of Blogging for business vs. Facebook marketing (I’m an especially big fan of the SEO benefits of blogging).
It’s not that Blogging is better than Facebook, however, the two should work hand in hand. That said, dropping a business blog in favor of Facebook could be a big mistake.
